Most of Temple Terrace's residential properties are postwar single-family homes on lots that are larger than you find in most newer Florida suburbs. The older homes near the golf course are the most distinctive, with Spanish-influenced architecture and mature canopy that can be 60 to 80 years old. The neighborhoods closer to USF and Fowler Avenue have more standard ranch homes from the 1950s and 1960s with a higher share of rental properties.
